While PS5 benefits from superior geometry LOD draw distances and sharper shadow map baselines, it exhibits increased shadow aliasing and edge noise. Performance on PS5 is inconsistent, frequently dipping into the 50s and as low as 45fps, unlike Series X which holds a stable 60fps. VRR is highly recommended on PS5 to alleviate these drops.
