Psychonauts 2 never received a native PS5 version: on Sony's current-gen hardware you play the PS4 build through backward compatibility. Double Fine's own platform sheet lists that configuration as 60fps at 1440p, with no HDR and no VRR support, and a November 2021 patch specifically set out to improve the PS4 version's resolution and stability when run on PS5 - although no outlet ever confirmed the resulting resolution. The last-gen PS4 and PS4 Pro versions run at 30fps; no independent pixel-counted analysis of any PlayStation SKU has been published, so exact internal resolutions and frame-time behaviour remain unmeasured. There is no PS5 Pro patch. For reference, the Xbox Series X version does have a native 4K60 mode and a 1440p120 option, which PlayStation players do not get.
