Fort Solis utilizes Unreal Engine 5's software Lumen global illumination on PS5 to deliver real-time bounce lighting and indirect scene illumination. However, hardware ray tracing is not supported on console due to performance constraints. Switching to performance mode lowers per-pixel ray counts, introducing visible breakup and shimmering artifacts in indirectly lit environments.
