Halo: Campaign Evolved is a ground-up Unreal Engine 5 remake and offers the same two graphics modes on both PlayStation machines: Quality at 30fps for the sharpest image, and Performance at 60fps, which is the mode most reviewers recommend for a first-person shooter. Both versions share the full feature set - hardware-accelerated Lumen global illumination, Unreal Engine 5 MegaLights emissive lighting, stable long-distance shadows, interactive water, deformable sand and reworked particle effects. The difference is image quality: on PS5 Pro, PSSR 2 upscaling cuts the shimmering and noise typical of Unreal Engine 5, making it the cleanest console version of the game. Base PS5 remains a good presentation but is softer and noisier in motion, and both consoles can dip below 60fps in the busiest firefights. Chromatic aberration and film grain are forced on with no option to disable them, and there is no 120Hz output mode.
