Subnautica's next-gen upgrade is a substantial one: on PS5 the game renders at 4K with a 60fps target and streams the ocean far more consistently, which cuts down the pop-in that plagued the original release. On PS4 it remains a 30fps, 1080p game with noticeable terrain and detail pop-in when moving quickly. There is no PS5 Pro-specific version, so Pro simply runs the PS5 build.
