Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is a cross-generation release with a native PS5 build alongside the last-gen PS4 version. On PS5 the default 60Hz mode is, in Digital Foundry's words, a "nigh-on 60fps lock" from start to finish in the campaign, fully v-synced with no tearing, using dynamic resolution scaling that hovers around 4K. A separate 120Hz mode is available for high-refresh displays, but it is far from a lock: demanding scenes can fall to roughly 80fps, so it is best paired with VRR. There is no ray tracing in any console version. The PS4 version runs with noticeable cutbacks in detail and a significantly less stable adherence to its 60fps target. No PS5 Pro-specific patch has been documented - the game predates the console by two years.
